milestones

the past week has been filled with significant dates. last weekend was my half way mark of my time with urbana, and this past weekend marked the first full year since graduation. yesterday was father's day, a first of its kind for me. i've been doing a lot of reflecting, self-congratulating/counseling/celebrating, which actually has been quite effective.

there's a lot i want to blog about (esp after our chat re: writing, ing), but for now a list of thanks will have to do.

here are just some of many, many things i am thankful for as i've been reflecting on my post-undergrad journey so far

1. working at my 'college dream' job
2. the ongoing assurance and peace that this is exactly where i am called to be right now
   
3. 'old' friends from college and prior now scattered along both coasts. i don't take keeping in touch with them for granted anymore!
4. the feldkamps and their ongoing hospitality
5. gigi. as much as she is a pain to maintain, my hm car has served me well- esp this past winter
6. steady paychecks. esp now that all the grace periods on my college loans are over
7. 'new' friends in madison. they're the biggest reasons why i feel somewhat at home here
8. chicago. it's really wonderful to have a 'real city' only a few hours away.
9. working alongside staff with decades of experience and wisdom
10. grace, amidst times of much growth and pain.
11. a little brother who sends a text 2 weeks after his bday demanding whether i sent him anything
12. cross-cultural experiences, of all kinds.
13. mbti. 'nuff said.
14. the chance to dream again.
    
15. the occasional times when i get to see old friends- like the next couple weeks. suuuper stoked!
