it always brightens my day when Jim forwards encouraging e-mails about ways in which God is using Urbana to influence and shape people's lives...and the academia. one college is giving students credit for attending U09!
Most recently, however, C’s connections in the Religion Department has resulted in a new class being offered to all Carthage students during their “J-Term” (most-all Carthage students take a singular class during January). It will be called “Urbana09 – Religion in America.” Students will receive 4 credits (yep – 4 full credit hours) for attending Urbana 09. They must keep a journal of their experience at Urbana, reflecting upon what they learn there. To sweeten the deal even more – the students can apply these credits to the Spring Semester if they so choose...
